Sunday, February 16, 2014 - Tons of black pepper on the nose. A bit funky, and not in a good way, on the palate the first night, not very good. Second night was improved. Third night I wished I had three more glasses rather than just one. The transformation was amazing. Took on more of a Rhone taste with the pepper nose remaining.
I had starting thinking the second bottle we have would go down the drain and was wishing I had not bought four bottles of the next vintage. Now I wish I had more, I just need to remember to open at least 24-36 hours early.
