Sunday, May 28, 2023 - Memorial Day Weekend, Day 2: The Great Gatsby: A funky green forest floor nose, earth and dark red fruits but on the fading side.

Flavors of stewed plums, damp earth and decaying twigs.

Very soft and almost ethereal, but the flavor profile this time around obviously showed their age and not too well this time around unfortunately.

5/31/2023 4:23:00 PM - BTW....I did the same thing, and tried to rinse my palate with the wine, but still needed a second glass to get the fruit and nuances out of this wine, which was really quite elegant!
