Saturday, October 28, 2023 - level lowermost neck, good long cork, decanted 2 hours, little sediment, colour perfect for age, black-red with slightest bricking at the rim, really classic aged Paulliac nose, cedar, forest floor, graphite, complex, intense but fine, both powerful and elegant, lovely, palate is warm, with good rich fruit, dry at the finish with typical ‘86 acidity and austerity but everything in balance, peak drinking now but because of the balance and structure it will hold well
