Monday, October 30, 2006 - Joyous partnering with chateaubriand at Simon and Julia's. Leather and tobacco and toasty damsons on the nose. Smooth and lushous in the mouth. Taste matched the nose but with more herbs - bayleaf. Perfect drinking right now, but I imagine it will start to fade in the fruit department over the next few years and also start to lose some of its lovely, silky tannin grip.
