Saturday, May 10, 2014 - Decanted 1h but showed its best around the 2h mark. Entirely soaked cork but excellent in neck fill. Garnet almost to the rim. Forest floor, sweet dark fruit, still a fair bit of toast, fine to medium tannins and medium finish. Not the 97 point wine, JS had in his glass but the best Clerc Milon I have had, and while this will certainly bot improve, it certainly has a few more years to go.
PS: Tannins become more pronounced around the 4h mark as the fruit fades. Perhaps better not to wait much longer.
