Saturday, December 19, 2015 - Very good Barolo here. Elegant, great balance, and enough complexity to lead me to believe this will develop nicely. Nice cherry flavors, some rose/tar, spices, and a hint of vanilla, although not enough to scream that this has seen new oak. Tannins are manageable, and while this has structure, I don't think this is a 25+ year Barolo - probably a 5-10 year drinker. I think this may shut down soon as the nose started to close after 45 minutes of air, and would give it another 2-3 years before revisiting.
