Sunday, February 12, 2006 - we had this last night at Terra in St. helena- what a great wine- perfect condition with fill into the neck and the cork was in great shape- the wine is deep cherry/ruby red with no real hint of lightening- delicious nose with a hint of leather, cherry and spice. the wine was mature but seemed like it could have lasted a lot longer- it tasted of chocolate espresso, cinnamon, cherries, and pepper with cloves and herbs- what a wine- good balance and the tannins were soft and sweet. these chateauneufs can really age. i loved this wine.
