Sunday, October 14, 2007 - Post Insignia Dinner at Siggy's: Popped and poured to sip on while cooking. The nose was outstanding -- giving cherry, earth, and barnyard. However, the barnyard is well balanced by the other aromas and actually produces a fairly clean-smelling nose. On the palate this is an awesome medium weight with beautiful flavors of bright red fruit, iron and mineral. Smooth and elegant. Flavors are a bit flat at mid-palate, but the finish is very strong. One of the better Beaucastels I've ever had.
