Saturday, October 23, 2021 - Prior bottle was 18 months ago and this wine has evolved quite positively in that time. Nose is now mostly tropical fruit notes, particularly mango, papaya and pineapple. Medium bodied with apple and peach upfront, quickly evolving to the intense and complex mix of tropical notes that I recall from my prior bottle (pineapple, papaya, mango and kiwi). Tart orange, lemon and even a bit of lime on the backside and through the finish. Still shows lively acidity, but it has integrated a bit with the fruit, but given that this has led to additional complexity, the current balance is well worth the trade-off. Should continue to drink well for a number of years to come, but the cork issue that a prior reviewer noted is something to watch out for.
