Friday, April 12, 2024 - Brilliant wine! Stood upside for 2 weeks. One hour decant (lots of sediment). Notes of honeycomb and beebread, with a touch of seaweed. A hint of vanilla (weird, I know, for Ponsot). Taste is complex, difficult to describe: maybe sweet/sour cherry honey and burned wood? Aftertaste is sharp but very pleasant, as those silky tannins fill the mouth and then graciously disappear. Weirdly enough, the wine reminded me of Vougue's Musogny. Will improve for many years, as there is substance, for sure.
