Sunday, February 11, 1990 - With K at home at dinner (steak). Dark red ruby. Nose was reticent for a couple of seconds, then opened to reveal a hauntingly lovely fragrance. Great chocolate, cocoa-scented fruit. On the palate, the wine is very good, plump, round, fairly rich, and drinking very well now with very little in the way of abrasive tannins. Very nice body and excellent balance. Long, elegant finish. 5-12-15-7: 89/100.
