Saturday, July 11, 2015 - Wasn't sure what to expect with this one since 2011 was an unheralded vintage for WA state, however The Boy grenache holds its own. Medium full on the palette. The profile is driven by juicy strawberries and an assortment of other red fruits, along notes of mushroom. The finish has an interesting cinder component to it. This was one of those wines where I couldn't wait to take the next sip. Very enjoyable.
