Saturday, March 22, 2014 - This is the first Pinot Noir from Columbia Gorge AVA that I have had. This is not like any typical Pinot Noir (either mushroom funk which I prefer or the Jolly Rancher cherry taste like some California AVAs). Not sure how to describe it. Minimal nose. Taste is raspberry-like with quite a bit of acidic zip. I like it even though I typically much prefer the mushroomy/funky Pinots. I can tell this is made by a winemaker that is attempting to showcase the grape and where it is grown.
