2010 St. Supéry Cabernet Sauvignon

Friday, August 3, 2018 - Decanting for an hour at 55°F produced notes of plum and the ever-present oak. This wine is offering medium-bodied, straightforward Napa Cab flavors with smooth, integrated tannins. It's the acidity that keeps the palate alive and drives the plum, blackberry, mocha, coffee, and vanilla flavors through the medium length finish. I rated it higher than the 2011 vintage (see notes) by virtue of the deeper mid-palate concentration and longer, more energetic finish.
