Tuesday, April 15, 2014 - Tasted blind as part of WSET Level 3 wine class. Medium red ruby in colour. Pronounced intensity on the nose of violet, black currant, black cherry, raspberry, tomato, nutmeg, leather, kirsch, hazelnut and lots of chocolate. High acidity, medium plus tannins and body. Pronounced flavours of Red and black cherry, black currant, cranberry, vanilla, kirsch, licorice and smoke on the palate. Very good wine.
