Friday, February 4, 2022 - Delicious and surprisingly fresh, the tannins have mellowed, though I gave it a decant, and the fruit is gorgeous. At almost 12 years old, this wine is drinking well right now, but has years ahead of it. I’d never had wine from Terra before I bought this, but the year before we’d done a few tastings on Spring Mtn, including at Guilliams, next door to Yverdon. We really enjoyed the wines on Spring Mtn, so bought it for that reason. What a great QPR wine this is for Napa Valley. Since this vintage, John Guilliams sold his winery (one of our all time fave tastings!), and the Yverdon Vineyard was sold to the Jackson Family. The grapes now go into Lokoya Spring Mtn so the P in QPR changed markedly! So if you own this vintage, you scored.
