Saturday, May 14, 2016 - Easily identifiable California Sonoma Coast nose that was huge. This is a big, flavor packed Pinot. Took this to Bin 54 in Chapel Hill and drank over three hours with filet and truffled scalloped potatoes. Absolutely brilliant with the truffle flavors, it did hold up better than the Volnay although both were good. I thought that the complex fruit flavors were dominant, but there were some subtle earth, baking spice and mineral notes that added to the complexity. This is the first bottle that I have had from this vintage.
