Tuesday, May 17, 2016 - Amazing per usual, starting to come into its own. Started off a little reticent, but with an hour (and food) found its stride. Clearly California in fruit profile, but still has a lot of mushroom and forest floor notes that make it more Burgundian. Slightly dark cherry and strawberry fruit profile, oak is there but not intrusive. No rush to drink. As we discovered, pair with anything involving truffles!
