96 Points

Thursday, October 29, 2020 - Like so many Ports of this stellar vintage, this wine drinks like a bold red, which just happens to have some sweetness, packs serious acid and tannin, and wears its alcohol exceptionally well. The liquefied black rock suspension, another calling card of the vintage, also shows beautifully here. This wine over-achieves in every measurable category. Striking now, but unlikely to enter an optimal drinking window in less than twenty years, perhaps twenty-five or thirty. 96-97!
