Thursday, September 17, 2020 - Finally getting around to trying one of these (of my 2). Transparent garnet, hinting towards bricking a bit at the edges. Smells really nice, with notes of cherry, rose petals, licorice, smoke, and dried spices. Light to medium body, medium acid and finish, and flavors of high toned red fruits, bitter orange peel, and lemon. A bit more interesting on the nose than palate, but a nice wine all around nonetheless. I like it. Food versatile for lighter fare—this one works with poultry, fish, and veggie, and certainly pork. I'd say cellar temp to slightly cooler is the call here.
