Friday, March 28, 2008 - What a difference from the last tasting note, which must have been from a flawed bottle. This one is typical Kistler, full blown and blousey. The nose is full of very ripe orange fruit and nutty/oily elements; the tastes are of yellow and orange citrus and orange tropical fruit, with some tiny bit of red fruit, probably a result of the acidity in combination with something else. The length is decent, and the only sub-excellent part of the wine, as it shows moderately long but with a bit of a tannic bite. The is a fine example of its type.
