Slate, lead pencil, boysenberry, vanilla oak, and a finish which was among the most spectacular I have ever experienced. I think it is still going on! May be in the top three wines I have ever had. This is a blockbuster. Not ready for a few years, but plan ahead and decant! Tasted alongside the 03 Ducru, similarly decanted, and this wine just (barely) had the edge. Great year for the second growths!
