Monday, December 24, 2012 - 750 on Christmas Eve. Tried this several times over the course of 8 hours. The disc is actually starting to lighten. Nice nose, but generally restrained. Came out of the gate pretty strong showing red currants, oak; a beautiful but subtle perfume for a couple of hours and then shut down. More red fruit on the palate. Plenty of minerality. The balance is actually a little off - a hair tart.
Very good, but still a ways from maturity. Good, but neither brilliant at this stage nor the most stereotypical Barton. Not at all overripe or jammy, though.
