Monday, December 21, 2015 - Slow ox'ed for about an hour and poured into decanter at restaurant. This was showing better than the bottle a few months ago. Did not seem obviously closed, with plenty of earth and wood spices, initially fresh red fruit joined later on by dark fruit. Tannins integrated.
Still I felt the fruit was holding back a bit, certainly not showing any overripeness but a touch light and more fresh than deep on the palate. Finish could be longer. The 03 Pape Clement was showing better the day before. Would decant for a good hour if circumstances allow. 92+
