Friday, June 25, 2010 - Aromas of stewed blackberry, plum skin, barnyard earth, gooseberry, anise, dark chocolate and a touch of boot polish. A touch thin on the palate which emphasizes gravelly earth. The medium-length finish is surprisingly fresh and red-fruited, along with pulverized stone, bandaid and more gooseberry. This wine shows slightly baked and flat, reflections of the vintage. A reasonable QPR at $20 on futures.
