Now 26 years old, it was no surprise that this once fine Napa Cab was past its prime, but it still had really nice cassis fruit, and hearty cedar & cigar / spice box aromas, so it is in a phase of graceful degradation. Ten years ago, this true Bordeaux-blend (the five grape varieties) greatly impressed me and I will buy their recent vintages without hesitation. The Andrus family should be proud of this strong effort.
