Wednesday, September 16, 2020 - I haven't had this vintage Grange for a years and decided to open one up with a couple of friends who also brought some great wines.
Decanted an hour before trying it. Youthful was the first impression I got on appearance and taste. I don't think the color has changed from the previous bottle - not mega purple, but a very deep crimson color with no bricking. Aromas of mostly crushed fruit - cherries, plums, blackberries - with forest floor, a bit of eucalyptus, and charcuterie. Palate was velvety, rich, still tannic, and plenty of acid to balance the fruit. This still has years ahead of it for my taste.
