Tuesday, April 13, 2010 - Great fill to within 1/2" of cork, almost pristine cork. Opened but not decanted 2 hours before drinking. Dark red core, lighter at rim. Nice complex nose of mature black fruits, cassis, cedar, iron and leather. Medium body, nice balance, tannins present but mostly resolved, mature fruits carry forward to palate with some irony/minerally undertones and some nice sweet complexity. Tannins well covered on the finish until 2 more hours in, then the fruit starts giving way to the tannins on the back palate. Outstanding.
