Sunday, August 15, 2010 - This wine was served at a private walk-around wine and food party. The bottle (750 cc) was taken from my personal cellar, decanted into a magnum-sized ship's decanter and allowed to aerate for approximately three hours. Deep garnet in color, the wine shows a very intense nose of kirsch, plums, tar, leather and earth. Full-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity, medium supple residual tannins and flavors mirroring the nose. The middle palate is full and the finish is long and smooth. This wine is drinking beautifully now and was a delicious match with grilled steak. It should continue to provide enjoyment for many more years. Drink now-12/25.
