Friday, April 11, 2014 - Disappointing! From perfect storage. Medium garnet with light cranberry rim- no bricking. High pitched nose is overwhelming dill pickle- with some red raspberry, cherry, and tobacco. Palate is somewhat better as red fruit is present, fading oak and tobacco finish, which I like. Air definitely improves the wine for a bit - as the pickle fades and some brined mineral appears on the finish. Burgundy is so fickle! High highs and many disappointments - reminds me of my girlfriend at 27!!!
