Saturday, November 24, 2018 - Straight from cellar and tasted while cool. Cork in excellent condition - about 1 mm of wine into the cork. Very little in the way of sediment. A bit of bottle stink when first opened but that disappeared within 5 min. Garnet to the edge - little sign of much maturity. Nose of red florals, red currants, black cherries, spice and cedar. Nose is very inviting.... on the palate it’s smooth with still some bright acidity; vanilla, red and black fruit, a nice kiss of oak and ripe but present tannins (just the right amount to keep it lively). The finish is long showing darker fruit, cedar and some earthiness. Showing beautifully right now. Was obtained in 2005 and kept till now under excellent cellar conditions.
