Friday, October 21, 2022 - Popped and poured. Cork was soaked, needed the Durand to get it out. At first I thought this might be corked, but the "off" aromas blew off after a bit. Dark color, full brown at the rim, still showing some viscosity. Secondary aromas dominate the bouquet: autumn leaves, leather, amber. Attractive in the mouth, with rich, burnished, savory flavors, showing off suave fruit and good complexity with nice nuance readily apprarent from first swallow. Sweet tobacco, a touch of shoe polish, and briar notes. Very elegant and polished on the finish. An unheralded Chateau (at least to me), it has produced a fine Bordeaux in my daughter's excellent birth year. What an evolution from PNP after only about a half an hour! 5-12-17-8: 92/100.
