Tuesday, February 14, 2017 - Solid CdP with a medium body and nice balance. Didn't find this too modern or over ripe at all. If anything, a slight touch more fruit would have improved the taste in my opinion, however, the nose was very fruity and the wine smelled delicious. Overall it had nice clarity and the flavours had a smooth, linear transition in the mouth. Still has a bit of bite to it that more time in the cellar would alleviate for those who enjoy softer tannin and less acidity, but was still enjoyable at this point. Has the structure to age much, much longer, but not sure it has the fruit to support it. Decanted 60 minutes prior to drinking and drank over 1 1/2 hours, during which it continued to open up throughout.
