Saturday, February 28, 2015 - La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Metropolitan Pavilion - New York NY): Wow! Nose of bright red berry fruit - raspberry, strawberry, juicy citrus. This is perfumed without weight. Wonderful minerality, very alive and complex. Spice. Superb on the palate with sappy fruit, red-blue, iron, minerals, spice. Grippy good acid. This is 100% Grand Cru quality and probably the best red wine I had today. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5.5/6, Finish - 5-5.5+/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17.5-18+/20 (with 18.5/20 potential.)
