The tannins were still very strong which indicates it could of kept longer but I did not want to chance it since 1997 does not have a great review in general. Strong Black fruits with dry earthy tannins. Very complex and typical of a good Tinto Fino grape. I was a little disappointed for I had bigger expectations of this wine. I'm hoping the 2003 vintages I have fair better.
