Thursday, December 28, 2006 - Tawny brown color. The highly concentrated nose displays loads of raisins, molasses, walnuts, windex, and burnt sugar. In the mouth, the palate is a tidal wave of raisins, walnuts, brown sugar, figs, caramel, and molasses. It is amazing that although this wine is full-bodied, it does not come across as thick or ponderous because the acidity is prefectly balanced with the fruit. The finish is packed and extremely long. Overall, it is quite an intense wine, but it maintains a lightness that is admirable.
