88 Points

Saturday, July 29, 2006 - At first, a faint but pleasant nose of dark berries and hints of leather. Evolved into much more prominent garrigue, plum in brandy on 2nd day. At first, the strong tannins drowned out everything else; not very elegant. Much better balance on 2nd day with more prominent acidity and longer finish. I agree with other users that this wine will need long bottle-ageing. I certainly am not going to touch more of it until after a few more years. Rate it a conservative 88 now, but should get better. Patience!
