Sunday, August 7, 2016 - Drank to celebrate the birth of little Jimmy Oliver.

A complex wine that beautifully combines fruit and secondary aromas. Cherries and raspberries mix with leather and tobacco. Very smooth and easy to drink with well integrated tannin, albeit there are still some sticking to the cheeks and gums. A dark red at the core but showing some bricking at the edges.

Please note that I gave this one hour of air. I made a mistake before by not giving it air as straight from the bottle it is slightly bitter and quite intense. The air allows it to soften and the fruit to rise to the front.
