Monday, November 27, 2017 - Equal parts Rousanne / Marsanne. Pours a deep golden color to the stem but in no way oxidized. Very interesting nose of burnt toast, vanilla bean shavings, sweat, cashew nut, and guava. Distinctive palate of pineapple, yellow fruit pith, and some hard to identify flavors. Moderate richness with a mild telltale white Hermitage bitterness.
A refreshing change from many of the generic whites on the market. Some very distinctive elements to this wine. I expect further complexity with 5 years.
