Monday, January 4, 2016 - Splash decanted and let sit for 1 hour. Nice bouquet of dark fruit, bramble, plum, and some toasted oak. Nice structure. Medium on the palate with dark cherry, plum, some caramel, and some hard to identify components probably due to the Cabernet Franc ( Caberlot ). Average finish with tannin still prominent. Paired with a tomato base seafood stew with oysters, crawfish, and French baguette. I think the score rises a bit with 3 years bottle age. Nice tartness to compliment the food.
