Monday, November 3, 2008 - Prepartation: Decanted for about 1 hour in a duck decanter. Consumed from a Riedel Vinum Bordeaux glass at a friends.
Sight: Medium to medium light color. Clarfied wine of medium viscosity. No age telltale signs from the sight perspective.
Nose: Great nose of sonoma pinot - cherries and strawberries. Not too much in the way of wood - but nice accompany of spices - cinnamon, cloves and other asian spices. Slight amounts of tellicherry pepper.
Palate: Warm and inviting. An elegant wine that produces nicely across the palate in all forms of the attack, mid, and finish. I feel that the strong suit is the mid palate. Great fruit and lots of extra flavors revealed with chewing. A keeper wine that probably is at peak.
Overall: Flowers is an excellent Pinot that sometimes is overlooked as poeple are trying to chase the latest cult pinot. 91 points.
