Saturday, March 27, 2021 - Deep colour. Nose lurking slightly in the glass but good depth and fruit, tarry smokey notes. On palate unfurled to give great depth, balance and length. There is clearly plenty of tannin but it is all in place. Youthful with smokey aspects; a lot of fruit and aromatic complexity. Paradigm expression of the vineyard I imagine. Really excellent. Not tasted since shortly after bottling but this would appear to be in vigorous early maturity and clearly capable of further development.
