Thursday, October 4, 2018 - 14.5% alcohol. Good short dense cork with no wine penetration. Dark colour with some thinning at the edge of the rim.
The nose is subdued before swirling, as so often with Rhône wines; elegant blackberry aromas upon swirling. The mouth is several steps ahead, with blackberries again and a suggestion of blueberries, a superb balance and a lively finish; no undue alcohol heat, and no oak whatever. This is not a Gigondas which tries to emulate CNdP. A very stylish wine and a repeat purchase.
