Sunday, July 12, 2020 - I almost always love Rhys Vineyards Chardonnays. I drink a lot of them. Rhys and Alesia labels. Unfortunately, the 2012 Horse Shoe Vineyards is not showing very well right now. I have opened 2 or 3 bottles over the past 3 months and they are all the same. Missing the crispness and interesting nose. Certainly drinkable, but not what I am used to from Rhys or Horse Shoe vineyard in particular. I have a lot more of bottles and hoping that it is just the time. Or maybe this particular shipment got cooked during transit. Now that I smell it again, I think this bottle may be corked. But in that case, maybe the other bottles from this lot were also corked which is a coincidence.

Fortunately, we have not found the problems that you’ve noted. But it would be interesting to see whether the problems you are noting all came from the same shipment.
