Friday, November 14, 2014 - "20 Vintages of Latour at Daniel." I've been fortunate enough to taste this wine 4 times in the past 2 years and this was the best bottle so far. Just incredible depth, breed and class to this wine that no other vintage could come close to matching tonight. There are full dark fruit flavors with wonderful notes of tobacco, dark spices, minerals and voluptuous earth all presented in a chiseled package with such incredible precision of flavors. The ultra-long finish showed a very fine complexity just beginning to emerge from this monumental wine. Like drinking liquid black onyx. Based on this tasting, this has to be a candidate for greatest red wine ever made. 100+
