Tuesday, December 4, 2007 - Story of this bottle, a man got this bottle 30 years ago from a big wine shop in Copenhagen, Denmark. He kept it in his celler down there until he died in 2000. His son found the wine in 2005 and see the name of the shop under the label. Then he bring to sell it back.

How lucky I am ? The next day, unfortunately, I went to that shop and the maneger told me the story of the mid-shoulder level Latour 1961 with special offer. The great wine that nevers go anywhere...how can I refuse ?

Til' Tuesday, today, my brother brings Petrus 1982 to rock but never roll.

The colour of Latour 1961 is still very deep and very very dark ruby like the wine from mid 90's

This is not the aroma of typical Latour such as 1966, 1967, 1971, 1975, 1976, 1978. It's perfume !!! after 2 hours, it represents the most wonderful nose that I never met before. Sweet cassis combined with perfect fruits, licorice, very mild leather, layers upon layers and upon layers again. many beautiful scents intermixed...earth, honeydew, smoke, the nature. All those things is getting better and better...only putting my nose into the glass is heaven...I'm in heaven.

In the mouth, it clearly declares itself...I am what I am... Latour is the Greatest Bordeaux Wine !!! lovely spiciness, acidity, balance and most complex. How can it be P E R F E C T like this. Unutterable !!! Oh..La..La...

Aftertaste : IMO, the finished of the wine will get the score by its performance. For Latour 1961, it's totally different from any wine, many many layers.( tasting note from the Chateau said " Latour 1961 is ENDLESS AFTERTASTE "...now I get it...heaven 17...

After last night, it's absolutely..automatically.. be No.1 the best wine in my life...

Latour 1961...If I could, I would give it 103/100....

ps. The only one thing which tells me the age of this wine is the finish...after swallow the wine...a scent of 46 years old shows up...just only one second then fresh...fresh....B..o..o..m....fly me to the moon....
