Sunday, May 24, 2020 - Is 98 too harsh? Should this be 100? Dark ruby to garnet. Served blind, and noticeable cigar, lead, graphite, spice and chocolate. This was big and strong. So much structure left. Medium tannins. I guessed 82 bordeaux... A SIXTY ONE!! Total shock. Just amazing. How can this be nearly 60?! Wow. What a treat. Shared by BV. Whilst not at the perfection of an 82 Lafite I had a month earlier, this was just as magical.
