100 Points

Sunday, March 1, 2009 - My 2nd time with Latour 1961.

Deep and exotic dark ruby colour. From the sight, I bet, no one knows that this is 50 years old wine.

Moreover, This is so fresh in nosing, no sign of bad smell. The very very beautiful fruit jumps out of the glass. So sad that nothing's showing much in terroir even flowers or mineral, just only the fruit-bomb..

So different from the last bottle in Dec 2007. For this good kept bottle...only 1st BIG sip is taking my breath away. I can not move for 15 mins. The aftertaste continueusly robust super long...tears covers my eyes...another part is going deep down bit by bit until fullfilled all over every tiny space in my heart then stays long...long...but not finished yet...it beautifully spread out and go up again...softly...I have to say the same word....Endless Aftertaste....

...The most sensational aftertaste in my life...

So sad again, after 2.30 hours, it seems like closing down and open up again in the aggressive way.

Is it going to sleep again after 48 years old ?

At 4th hour, quite tannic, this is telling us something...a long way to last its live...new experience for me because last bottle was getting old...very peak...

Mmm...anyway, it is far beyond those 100/100 wines. The Legend !!!

Drink now - 2031.....if I could turn back time....I will open it 1.15 hours and finished it within 2.30 hours....
