Wednesday, March 28, 2007 - Opened and aerated through Vinturi Aerator. Slight but sweet brett, evolving black berry boquet, great palate, and lingering finish. An extraordinary wine that promises to get better. I loved it. Ellen, the hypertaster didn't care for it. (We looked to see what Jancis Robinson's, another hypertaster, view is of Chateauneuf 98's and 03's. By and large she like Ellen is not enamored of them.) All, I can say is us normal tasting wine geeks seem to love it, including perhaps the world's biggest wine collector Park B Smith.
To my mind this is = or better than any of the 98's I have had to date.
