Tuesday, April 25, 2017 - This wine has rounded out and deepened in the 14 months since I tasted it last (93 points - 2/16). Dark purple in color, full in body, nose of blackberry, spice, and gravel. Tastes of black cherry, plum, cedar, and graphite, with less pepper and more dark chocolate on the finish. The tannins have subsided considerably, and the finish has added a pleasant sweetness, where before it was more grippy and dry. Blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Petit Verdot. 14.7% alcohol. I'll wait to open my next bottle until 2018, when I think this will be near its peak, but it has definitely entered its drinking window.
